William H. Hoffman Jr. (Bill), aged 82, of Stowe Township, passed away at home on October 11, 2024. He was a beloved father, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Bill was born on December 30, 1941 in Baltimore, where he spent his formative years. He went on to attend college at Loyola University of Maryland where he earned a BA in History. Professionally, he worked as a PR Executive at Hill and Knowlton, AISI, and US Steel. Later in life, Bill realized a long time dream and became an elected member of the Stowe Township Board of Commissioners, where he served for over a decade.
Bill loved his family and was a loyal friend. He especially loved being a grandfather to his eight grandchildren. He was there to offer them guidance, support, and encouragement, no matter what challenges they faced. He was a history buff and loved to tell stories at family gatherings. He was an active member of his community, serving as a constable for elections and volunteering at other local events.
Bill is survived by his children, Bill Hoffman (Monica Feider) of Kohler, Wisconsin, Beth Ruzanic (Alex) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Jay Hoffman (Danielle) of Chesterfield, New Jersey, and his grandchildren, Annie, Lucy, Joe, Jack, Grace, Wyatt, John, and Ava. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Sr. and Mildred, as well as his brother, Arnold. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him and he will be missed everyday.
