Thomas Nolfi Obituary

Thomas A. Nolfi of Moon Township, Coraopolis, and Bugnara Italy, peacefully passed away on Thursday July 28, 2022 at home, surrounded by many loving family members. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. Always thinking of others, his generosity knew no boundaries. Anyone that knew him felt his lifelong passions for golfing, gardening, and spending time with family. He is an example to all for how to live every day with sincere gratitude, and love for the simple things.

Tom lived in the Coraopolis area for most of his 93 years.  He was a high school quarterback, graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in accounting and after serving state side in the Korean conflict, started his real estate and insurance business which is still operating today.  Tom was an Erie Insurance agent for six decades, serving the local community and developing relationships with customers, other agents and employees that lasted his lifetime. A member of Montour Heights Country Club for years, he was an avid, lifelong golfer who most often and very humbly beat everyone on the course, even in his 90's. He passionately loved his garden, his country, and his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents Daniel and Maria Trombetta Nolfi, his brothers Patsy and Samuel Augustine, and sister Mary.  He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Angela Fusco Nolfi, daughters Jennifer (Patrick) O’Connell and Alicia (Dean) Bacon, and three beautiful grandchildren, Madeline and Matthew O’Connell and Marissa Bacon.  Also survived by an enormous amount of loving nieces and nephews and all of their children.

Family and friends will be welcomed on Sunday from 1-8 pm and on Monday from 10-11am in the Sanvito Funeral Home, 1316 4th Ave., Coraopolis.  A Funeral Service will be held at Noon on Monday at Montour Heights Country Club, 1491 Coraopolis Heights Rd., Moon Township. Interment to follow at Coraopolis Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you please make a donation to either the Disabled Veterans of America or the McGuire Memorial Foundation. Tom always had a deep appreciation for the USA and our freedoms, and a compassionate heart for those who are less advantaged.  The family also asks that you take time to donate to your local blood bank.
