Sister Mary Angela Maciag, on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, a member of the Felician Sisters of Moon Township, for 75 years, at the age of 97, in Milton, MA. Sister was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. and was the daughter of the late Frances Rapczynska and Joseph Maciag.
Sister served the Church and the Felician Community in the area of healthcare as a registered nurse for approximately 50 years. She gave of herself to caring for patients in Oklahoma, the infirmary and for more than 20 years to the developmentally challenged youngsters at McGuire Memorial in New Brighton. She cared for her sick and aged mother for more than 6 years and then went to Milton, Massachusetts, where she lived until the time of her death. Sister Angela celebrated 75 years of religious life this past May.
Sister Mary Angela was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Ruth. She is survived by her sister, Marian, of Milton, MA, and nieces and nephews of the Pittsburgh area. In addition, Sister Angela leaves behind more than 1000 Felician Sisters worldwide.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 11:30 a.m., at St. Elizabeth Church in Milton, MA. Burial will follow in the Milton Cemetery.
