Rosanna C. (Pastin) Kocian

Rosanna (Pastin) Kocian of Moon Township on January 17, 2022. Loving daughter of the late Rocco and Frances (Zanfino) Pastin of Stowe Township, PA. Devoted wife of 56 years to Dennis Kocian. Adored mother of Wayne, who she joins in Heaven, and Rena K. Ralston (Robert) of Mt. Lebanon. Rosanna was a loving sister to the late Josephine (the late Lou Kronz), the late Rocco (Geraldine), Nancy Pastin, and John (Arleen). Rosanna was a loving and caring aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Rosanna was a faithful Christian and a dedicated member of the Providence Presbyterian Church. She had a passion for music and ballroom dance. She taught thousands of people to dance during her 45-year career as a Ballroom Dance instructor at CCAC. She also enjoyed feeding hungry employees for Laurel Foods at the Advo plant for many years. Rose took pride in her sewing skills, upholstering furniture and sewing clothes for her family. Rosanna lived out her faith and loved with her whole heart. She was passionate about her family and loved to be with them. She exemplified love and encouraged all of us to do the right thing. It was rare to see her without a beautiful smile. The joy of the Lord was her strength.

Visitation will be held at the Anthony J. Sanvito Funeral Home, 1650 Broadway Avenue, Stowe/Kennedy Township, on Thursday, January 20th from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A funeral service will be held at Providence Presbyterian Church, 77 Phillips Lane, McKees Rocks, PA 15136, Friday, January 21st at 11:00am.
