Robert "Bob", "Fuzzy" Monyak of Robinson Township, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2020, at the age of 71. Bob was born on December 17, 1948 to Steven and Bessie Monyak. He was a 1966 graduate of Montour High School and joined the U.S. Navy, proudly serving three tours in the Vietnam War. Bob was a dedicated fire fighter with Groveton and Forest Grove Volunteer Fire Departments, as well as, serving on the Robinson Township Police Department for 25 years and retiring in 2009.
Anyone who knew Bob knew he loved model trains and was very talented at building them. He was a member of the Beaver County Model Railroad and Historical Society in Beaver.
Bob is survived by his wife, Kathleen; his sister, Patricia; his children, Bryan (Megan) and Melissa along with three grandchildren, Brayden, Jacob, and Hailey.
Family and friends will be welcomed on Wednesday from 4pm-8pm in the Sanvito Funeral Home, 1316 Fourth Ave., Coraopolis. A blessing service will take place in the funeral home on Thursday at 9:30am followed by Military Honors at 10am. Interment to follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
