Mary Frissora Obituary

Mary "Mitzie" (Vidmar) Frissora, age 98, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 25, 2020 at her home in Moon Township, PA.  She was preceded in death by Jerry Frissora, her beloved husband of 58 years; as well as her parents and brother, Joseph Vidmar.  Mitzie was born July 7, 1922 in Cliff Mine, PA. to the late Mathias and Johanna (Bogatay) Vidmar.  After graduating from North Fayette High School in 1940, she worked in the finishing department of Consolidated Lamp and Glass Company in Coraopolis where she met women who became her lifelong friends.  While working in Coraopolis she also met her future husband, Jerry.  Mitzie was a talented homemaker, known especially for her gardening, sewing, quilting and pie and bread baking skills.  She was the happiest feeding and taking care of her family.  She was proud of her Slovenian heritage and was an 80 year member of the SNPJ Fraternal Organization.  Jerry and Mitzie were charter members of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Moon Township.  She is survived by her children, Jerry (wife Patty) Frissora of Reston, Virginia; Janet Frissora (Mark Kristy) of Clinton; and John (wife Dana) Frissora of Wexford; three beloved grandchildren, Matthew Frissora, Claire (husband John) Leventis, Clayton Frissora; and sister-in-law Joan (Frissora) Pompeo; and many nieces and nephews.  

Private funeral services.  A private Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Margaret Mary Church, Moon Township.  Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
