Jeffrey Mathew Cruce, age 73 of McKees Rocks, PA, with his wife by his side, passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 17, 2023.
Born on February 3, 1950, in Bellevue, PA to James and Ida Cruce, Jeffrey attended Ambridge Area High School until his senior year when he left to join the Marines to serve in the Vietnam War. Once he returned home, he began working at several gas stations before acquiring a job as a security guard. Loving this line of work, he decided to attend CCBC for Lethal Weapons Training Act 235. Ultimately, he retired in 2012.
An avid lover of trains, airplanes and all things NASA, Jeffrey loved to vacation in Florida with family and was able to experience multiple launches as well as attending local train exhibits and air shows. He also loved to go to our Pittsburgh sports games, The Steelers, The Pirates and The Penguins with his wife and family.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Joyce Kirby Cruce; children, James (Heather) Cruce, Joshua (Samantha) Cruce, Laura (Michael) Jordan, Mark Wagner (Diane), 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by wife, Joann Moorehead Cruce (D. 1993); father, James Cruce and mother, Ida Cruce as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Honoring Jeffrey’s wish to be cremated, his family is holding a Memorial Service on Monday, September 25, 2023, from 4-6 PM at the Baden United Methodist Church, 420 Dippold Ave., Baden PA, 15005.
