Helen (Kurta) Girimonti

Helen Kurta Girimonti of Stowe Township, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at the age of 91.  Helen was the former wife of the late Paul Girimonti; loving mother of Guido (Lynda) Girimonti, Joseph (Jean) Girimonti, and Mary Ann (Nick) Wells; loving grandmother of Dominic (Ashley) Girimonti, Amy (Richard Scott) and Stacy Boothe; great-grandmother of Jackson and Quinn; and sister of John Kurta, Frank Kurta and George Kurta.

Helen graduated from the Ohio Valley General Hospital School of Nursing in 1952.  After graduation, she walked across the hospital parking lot and was hired as an ER nurse where she worked for the next 40 years.  After retiring from OVGH, Helen worked at Pat Catan’s in McKees Rocks for 16 years where she was able to see her past co-workers on a daily basis.  Helen was a member of St. Malachy Church in Kennedy Township.

As per Helen’s wishes, funeral services will be private.
