Doreen Marie Mossey

It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of my mother, Doreen Marie Mossey, 86, of Crescent Township, PA. on May 13, 2026. Born in 1939, Pittsburgh, PA to George and Mary (Ulakovic) Yost, wife of Edward Alvin Mossey (deceased 1973).  She was a devoted mother, grandmother and member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, for over 50 years. 

She is preceded in death by her husband Edward Alvin Mossey, her brother Richard (Carol) Yost, brother-in-law Phillip (Debbie) Mossey, sister-in-law Shirley Ellison and special friend/companion Colonel John P. Lednak.  She is survived by her twin brother, Donald (Diane) Yost, daughter Erin Manna (Chris), grandchildren, Mia, Marco and Chrysanne Manna whom she adored.  Doreen loved spending time with her family and had a special relationship with her son-in-law, Christopher Manna, who helped care for her until her passing.  Doreen was blessed to have 12 nieces and nephews and 18 grand-nieces and nephews who she enjoyed spending time with. 

Doreen was raised in the Catholic Church and lived her faith out daily, setting an example to all who knew her.  She was a member of the St. Catherine’s lady’s guild, enjoying fellowship and numerous friendships with her Parish family until her last day on earth. 

In addition to spending time with her beloved family, she enjoyed travel, music, the theater, movies, bingo, card games, fitness, bowling and ELVIS.  As a young woman she worked for Bell Telephone Company and Avis rent a car.  She devoted 10 years of her life volunteering at Gateway Rehabilitation Center in Center Township and was a clerk for Ladbrokes Moon Township for 18 years. 

Family and friends will be welcomed on Sunday, May 17, 2026 from 12 PM - 4 PM in the Sanvito Funeral Home, 1316 4th Ave., Coraopolis.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 18, 2026 at 10 AM in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Glenwillard, PA.  Everyone please meet in the church on Monday morning.  Interment to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
