Donald Marion DiVito, age 78, a retired Deputy Sheriff of the Allegheny County Sheriff's Department, passed away on December 14, 2020 at Southern Hills Hospital in Las Vegas, NV after fighting a brave battle against the Covid-19 virus. He was born on May 6, 1942 in Sewickley, PA to Olimpio Valentino DiVito and Mary Belcastro DiVito. Don grew up in Coraopolis, PA and was an Army veteran and a lover of classic cars. Don was preceded in death by his parents, and his son, Mark Andrew DiVito. He is survived by his wife, Janet Schaeffer DiVito; his daughter Valerie DiVito Carnohan; his son-in-law William Carnohan; his brother, Joseph DiVito Sr.; his sister-in-law Diana DiVito; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Alicia, Bryce, Myles, Kaden, Karly, and Maryn; his niece Mary Anne; and his nephew Joe.
Services were held at Palm Southwest Mortuary in Las Vegas, Nevada. Don will be laid to rest at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hopewell, PA. on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at 10:30 am.
