Arlene Ruth Morrison DiLisio passed away peacefully on Friday, March 3, 2023. She was born in Ambridge, raised in Center Township and was a graduate of Monaca High School. She made Coraopolis her home for the past 62 years after marrying her loving husband. There they raised their two children together. In her youth she was a member of the Civil Air Patrol and 4-H Club. Before marriage she worked as a bookkeeper at G.C. Murphy’s, cube machine operator at Jiffy Steak, driver for Nick Crivelli Chevrolet, Switchboard Operator for Bell Telephone in Butler, and proprietor of her own hair salon. After marriage while raising their two children, she started Arlene DiLisio Wigs, Wiglets and Falls, and later worked for K-Mart as a cashier and front supervisor. She was an excellent seamstress, and very talented at crochet, knitting, and embroidery. She enjoyed all manner of crafts. Her hobbies were collecting glassware from Consolidated Glass, cooking and baking, writing recipes, macramé, puzzles, and aviation. She was a member of the Christian Mothers at St. Joseph Church in Coraopolis.
She was preceded in death by her husband Silvio DiLisio, parents Darrell Morrison, Sr. and Ida Romantine Morrison, brothers Harold (Joyce) Morrison and Darrell (Marjorie) Morrison, Jr.
She is survived by her children Daryl Ann DiLisio and Silvio DiLisio, granddaughter Victoria Lorenz Castro, and great-grandson Robert Silvio Castro and many nieces, nephews, great- nieces and great- nephews
Family and friends will be welcomed on Monday from 6-8 PM and on Tuesday from 2-4 PM & 6-8 PM in the Sanvito Funeral Home, 1316 4th Ave., Coroapolis. A Prayer Service will take place on Wednesday morning at 9:30 AM in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM, St. Joseph Church, Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, Coraopolis. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Moon Township.
