Anthony J. Mastrangelo

Anthony J. Mastrangelo, of Pittsburgh (formerly of Coraopolis), on July 26, 2024. Loving husband of Jody (Reimer) Mastrangelo; survived by step daughter Michelle Yausm and her husband Jeff and their daughter Maddie.  Anthony was the son of the late John and Mary (Cortese) Mastrangelo; brother of Beverly (Charles) Yaskanich and Linda Hineman.  He was the cherished uncle of Heather (Ryan) Greenwald and daughter Samantha, Natalie (Matt) Parr, Marla (Jordan) Moskal and Brad Yaskanich.  

Anthony was a 1972 graduate of Cornell High School and a graduate of Edinboro College, and a member of the Delta Sigma Phi fraternity where he developed lasting friendships.  His career included many years as a mall marketing manager followed by self-employment as an interior house painter.  His customers always commented on how spotless he left every job.  He was an avid Steelers and Pens fan who did not appreciate phone calls during games.

In addition to his love of sports, he followed in his dad’s footsteps as an excellent Italian cook.  His specialties were pepper and mushroom steak and Pasquali’s chicken.  The steak was a staple at family reunions.  Another joy was his love of Hilton Head Island where he and Jody vacationed yearly enjoying the sun and sand.

Anthony was blessed with a loving wife and family, along with many lifelong friends.  A heartfelt thanks is extended to all those who helped him on his long journey as he battled cancer. The visits, delicious food and most of all prayers were greatly appreciated.

Family and friends will be welcomed on Friday, August 2, 2024 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Sanvito Funeral home, 1316 4th Avenue, Coraopolis, PA 15108.

A blessing service will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by a luncheon in Healy Hall, St. Joseph’s Church, 1304 4th Avenue, Coraopolis, PA 15108.
