Antalene Pendel

Antalene Pendel, of Moon Township, PA, peacefully passed away on January 16, 2026, at Good Samaritan in Wexford, at the age of 89.

She was the daughter of the late Gus and Antline Misorski and the devoted loving mother of Robert J. Pendel (wife Marilyn) and Janet Renee’ Comer (husband Brian).

Antalene was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert G. Pendel, with whom she shared 64 wonderful years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by her five brothers, Richard Misorski, Joseph Misorski, Edward Misorski, Gus Misorski, and Charles Misorski, and her three sisters, Helen Szostek, Mary Ann Perock, and Rose McClure.

Antalene leaves behind her siblings, John Misorski (wife Barbara) and Cecelia Francis (husband Joseph); her six cherished grandchildren, Melynda Ertzinger, Robert J. Pendel Jr., Alytsa Mefford, Brian Comer, Michael Comer, and Nicholas Pendel; and her ten adored great-grandchildren. 

A faithful member of St. Margaret Mary Church for more than 50 years, Antalene’s faith was an important part of her life and guided her values of kindness, generosity, and love for others.  Antalene had a gift for making people feel seen and welcomed. She never missed an opportunity to talk, laugh, and truly connect with those around her.  She loved to dance especially the jitterbug with her husband, Robert.  A proud Pittsburgh Steelers fan, she faithfully watched the games and cheered them on each season.  Her simple pleasures included shopping, trying her luck playing slot machines, and the excitement of scratch-off tickets, which always brought a smile to her face.

The family extends their gratitude to the caring staff at Cedar Hill Healthcare and Rehabilitation and Good Samaritan Hospice in Wexford for their compassion, comfort, and kindness during her final days.

Antalene will be remembered for her loving heart, joyful spirit, strong faith, and the way she made everyone feel like family.

Family and friends will be welcomed on Saturday, January 24th from 9 AM - 11:45 AM in the Sanvito Funeral Home, 1316 4th Ave., Coraopolis.  A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:30 PM in St. Margaret Mary Church, Moon Township.  Interment to follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Moon Township.

 At 2 PM there will be a late luncheon for family and close friends of Antalene at Anthony Jr's Restaurant, 1024 5th Ave., Coroapolis.
