Anthony Tarquinio Obituary

Anthony V. Tarquinio, 96, of Moon Township entered peacefully into eternal rest on August 30, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family. Son of the late Angelo and Elena Tarquinio; beloved husband of the late Ann, wife of 70 years; loving father of Anthony Tarquinio of California, Annette (Donald) Reichert of Florida, Donald (Lorna) Tarquinio of Aliquippa and Barbara (Craig) D'Aloiso of Upper St. Clair; grandfather of Nathan (Cassi) Tarquinio, Nicholas (Katrina) Tarquinio, Sara (Ross) Kelchner, Stacy (Jon) Cochran, Brandon D'Aloiso, and Alaina D' Aloiso; great- grandfather to Kaylee, Conner, Cole, Jack, Lena and Jordan.  He was the beloved brother of Gino ( Eileen) Tarquinio, Gloria ( Robert) Selzer and Geri (late John) Blodgett, and the late Gerarda, Arthur, Armand, Steve and Victor Tarquinio, Gilda Falcione, Ann Stanley and Nelda Shukes; also survived by sister-in-law, Veronica Santillo and many nieces and nephews.

Anthony was a past Grand Knight of St. Francis Assisi Council of Knights of Columbus and past President of St. Joseph Holy Name Society and the American Welding Society.  He worked for Pittsburgh Des Moines Steel Company for 34 years, retiring in 1985 as a welding engineer.  He was a U.S. Navy veteran and an active parishioner of St. Joseph Parish. 

Friends will be received in the Sanvito Funeral Home, 1316 Fourth Ave., Coraopolis on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8.  Prayers will take place in the funeral home on Wednesday morning at 9:45 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Church, Coraopolis at 10:15 am.  Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery.

Anthony, a dedicated Knight, was always ready to help those in need.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Anthony Program (stanthonykids.org) or to the Knights of Columbus Council 2555.  

The  family would like to thank Anthony's daughter-in-law Lorna for the loving care and attention she provided over the past 18 months.
