Adeline Louise (Cook) Butterini

August 15, 2018

Adeline Louise (Cook) Butterini, of Moon Township, age 92, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at home in Country Meadows.

She was the daughter of the late Louis and Gazia (Ambrosia) Cook. Adeline was the beloved wife of James Butterini (deceased); loving mother of Jan (Dick) Deaner, Joyce (Jim) Musone and Jeanne (Barry) Link; grandma of Jason (Kathy) Rumburg, Ben (Hillary) Rumburg, Chris (Joy, fiance') Fields, Tara Primiero, Tyler Dowiak, Alana Dowiak; grandmama of Noah, James, and Brennan Rumburg, Gavin and Kaden Rumburg, Cory and Sabrina Primiero; sister of Grace Kocjan and Margaret Hanna; and sister-in-law of Dorothy Cook.

One of twelve children, Adeline was raised learning the importance of love and family. The Cook children watched out for each other and that closeness, that love of family, continued throughout her life. The simple routines of daily living brought Adel the most joy...caring for her children and family, baking, keeping house, gardening, and walking. Her outgoing nature cultivated a large circle of friends.

As a resident of Country Meadows Retirement Community, Adeline Louise embraced her new life and participated in almost every event and activity, including fitness, volunteering time to the Humane Society, the homeless, and a local pre-school. Her zest for life and the love she shared touched the hearts of all who came to know her.

Adeline was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmama. Although she will be dearly missed by her family and friends, her legacy shall live on in our hearts.

There are no words to express our gratitude for the love, care and heartfelt concern given to our Mom and our family by the Country Meadows and Hospice staffs.

Visitation will be on Thursday, from 6-8 PM in the Sanvito Funeral Home, 1316 4th Avenue, Coraopolis, PA 15108.  A Prayer Service will be held on Friday at 9:30 AM in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St Joseph Catholic Church, 5th Avenue, Coraopolis, PA 15108.
