Charles Lucci, Sr. Obituary

Charles Michael Lucci, Sr. beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2024, in Pasadena, Maryland. Born on January 7, 1932, in Coraopolis, PA, he was one of eight siblings, born to a loving family.

Charles was a man of remarkable athleticism and courage. Despite being earmarked for a promising football career at the University of Pittsburgh, he chose to serve his country, enlisting in the United States Navy during the Korean War. In the Navy, he distinguished himself as a lead Radar Technician and continued to pursue his passion for sports. His time in the Navy was impactful, as he shared many fond memories of the experience and his travels.

Following his honorable discharge from the Navy, Charles embarked on a career as a machinist at Homestead Industries in Coraopolis. It was during this time that he met his wife, Janet (Baker) Lucci (deceased), with whom he shared three children: Sam Lucci, Charles Lucci Jr., and Melinda Lucci. He was a devoted husband and father, always putting his family's needs above his own.

Charles leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter. He will be deeply missed by his seven grandchildren, Adam, Paul, Leah, Maxine, Anthony, Alexandar, and Celeste, as well as his four great-grandchildren, Makayla, Mackenzie, Charlotte, and Paul. He took immense pride in his family and cherished every moment spent with them.

Known for his quick wit and charismatic personality, Charles was a joy to be around. He had a passion for gathering with friends and family over coffee, always ready with the best pastries and cookies to share. An avid Pittsburgh sports fan, he could often be found cheering on his favorite teams or spending time with his sisters and his brother.

Above all else, Charles was a dedicated family man who found his greatest joy in the company of his loved ones. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering love will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association or Alzheimer’s Association in honor of Charles' memory.
