PFC Frank S. Palermo

At the age of 99, PFC Frank S. Palermo of Stowe Twp, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2017 in Family Hospice surrounded by his family. Born on August 21, 1917, in Vandergrift, PA. The son of the late Luigi and Giovanna Palermo. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Alfred, Ralph, John, Hugo and George. He is survived by his sister, Virginia (Bill) Fusco and brother, Albert (Eleanor) Palermo and many nephews, nieces, and cousins. Frank was grateful for the loving care given over the many years by his brother George's family- wife, Kathleen, and daughters, Catherine, Cindy, Jean and Georgia. He was a World War II Veteran serving from August 1941 to August 1945 as a member of the Coastal Artillery. Friends received on Sunday, January 15, 2017 from 2-4 pm to 6-8 pm with a Blessing Service at 7:30 pm in the Anthony J. Sanvito, Inc. Funeral Home, 1650 Broadway, Stowe Twp/Kennedy Twp. Frank's final resting place will be at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville PA with military honors. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE FUNERAL HOME ON MONDAY, JANUARY 16, 2017 AT 10 AM.
