Kathleen H. (Hoffman) Palermo, turned 85 this past March. She resided at her home in Stowe Township since her marriage to George Palermo in 1953. She was the daughter of Catherine (Fries) and Edward John Hoffman. She had suffered a debilitating stroke on Monday, June 12th and she passed away on Monday, June 19th at the peaceful Good Samaritan Hospice in Wexford.

Kathleen (fondly known as Jean to many) was a loving mom to five girls; Catherine Harris, Joan Marie (deceased), Cindy Duray, Jean (Paul) Rooney and Georgia Palermo. She was a kind, generous and caring woman with amazing compassion and strength. She had many creative gifts including sewing, crocheting, cooking, drawing and baking to name a few. Her lady locks and Christmas cookies were known by many. All of her children and grandchildren have afghans, blankets, pillows and doilies made by her.

She lost her husband, the "Love of her life" George Palermo in September 2016 and her friend and brother-in-law Frank Palermo in January 2017. She missed them terribly and will now join them in heaven with her other family members.

Kathleen, fondly known as "Gram" had eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She is the sister of Florence, fondly known as "Sis" (Bob) Merritt, Marie (Dan) Sabatucci, Bob Hoffman and the late Richard, Ed, Ronnie, Jerry and Judy.

She is now with God and at peace and we will always carry her in our hearts.

Friends and family received on Thursday, June 22nd from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm in the Sanvito Funeral Home 1650 Broadway, Stowe Twp/Kennedy Twp. Prayers in funeral home at 9:15 am on Friday followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St Malachy Church, 343 Forest Grove Rd, Coraopolis, PA 15108. Interment following in Resurrection Cemetery.
