James L. Dines of Kennedy Twp, age 86 passed away on Monday, April 10, 2017. Husband of the late Elizabeth Tarquinio Dines, the late Barbara Murphy Dines and survived by Joyce Soffa Dines. Father of Bernie (Shirley) Dines and Dr. Bruce ( Michele ) Dines; loving grandfather of Matthew and Anthony Dines; brother of the late Dr. George, Helen, Ernie, and Edward Dines. Jim was born and raised in Kennedy Twp, attended McKees Rocks High School, served with the U.S. Navy in Korea aboard the CK Bronson, worked for Columbia Gas of PA until his retirement, life member of the Kennedy Twp VFD, member of Chartiers Valley Lodge #725 F&AM 50 year member,  and Syria Shrine member of Arab Patrol and Legion of Honor. Friends received in the Sanvito Funeral Home, 1650 Broadway, Stowe-Kennedy Twp on Thursday 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM and Friday 11 AM until time of service in the Ken Mawr United Presbyterian Church at 1 PM.  Interment in Mt Calvary Cemetery, Kennedy Twp.
